Tolerances
One of the biggest advantages that HF welded aluminum tubes have to offer is a very narrow tolerance level.
Compared to tubes from other aluminium production techniques, aluminum HF welded tubes can offer a very interesting weight and price advantage due to these tight tolerances.
In addition, these narrow tolerances ensure optimum processing and an ultimate production reliability. In the last production process, a tube is usually assembled by using a connector or coupler that fits to the dimensions of the tube. The better the tolerance, the better the product.
Our standard tolerances are as follows;
|
1. Diameter/Profile Round tubes (including ovality) 8 - 15 mm : ± 0,12 mm 15 - 30 mm : ± 0,15 mm 30 - 50 mm : ± 0,20 mm 50 - 80 mm : ± 0,25 mm Square and rectangular tubes 8 - 15 mm : ± 0,08 mm 15 - 30 mm : ± 0,10 mm 30 - 50 mm : ± 0,12 mm 50 - 70 mm : ± 0,15 mm |
2. Wall thickness
≤ 1,5 mm : ± 0,05 mm 1,5 ≤ 2,5 mm : ± 0,08 mm 2,5 < 3 mm : ± 0,1 3. Straightness 1 meter in length F ≤ 1,6 mm overall E (mm) ≤ 1,6 x L (m) 4. Length 250 - 3000 mm : ± 1 mm 3000 - 5000 mm : ± 2 mm > 5.000mm: -0/+15 mm |
Other tolerances have been specified in the EN 1592 International European Standard.
